Chris Korbey on the sideline with his son after a lacrosse game

About ClipPin

I'm Chris Korbey, the creator of ClipPin.

I've coached high school and club lacrosse for more than a decade, and two of my three boys currently play high school and college lacrosse. Like thousands of other parents, I've spent countless weekends on the sidelines filming games, chasing great plays, and then spending hours in a hotel trying to find, edit, and share clips.

By day, I own a production company that produces livestreams and video series for brands and artists like Justin Bieber, Twitch, Lexus, and Charli XCX. Even with all that professional gear and experience, I still found myself spending too much time sorting through footage for highlight reels and social posts.

So I built ClipPin.

It started as a simple tool for my own camera setup. I mounted my phone next to my camera, tapped a button whenever something worth saving happened, and after the game I could import only those moments instead of digging through hours of footage.

After using it for a while, I realized the same idea could make life easier for every sports parent, not just the ones lugging around giant camera rigs. Today's iPhones and iPads shoot incredible video. They just needed a better way to mark plays, find them later, and edit and share clips.

That's what ClipPin is.

I'm building this app myself and using it every weekend on the sidelines. Every update comes from something I've wished the app could do or something another parent has suggested. In fact, the live score feature exists because my wife missed some tournaments this summer and wanted to follow games from home. It has nothing to do with clipping video, but it made Saturdays a little better, so it stayed.

I'd love your feedback. Seriously. Good ideas, bad ideas, feature requests, bugs — I want to hear all of it. Email me at hello@getclippin.com, send me a DM on Instagram, or just tap me on the shoulder if we're both melting in the sun at a tournament.

My goal is simple: help you spend less time editing and more time watching the game. I hope ClipPin helps your athlete build an incredible highlight reel. And maybe even gets them one step closer to being recruited by their dream school.

Happy filming!
