Editing on a computer instead? ClipPin can hand Premiere Pro a sequence with every marked play already in place, named and colored.
Export the bundle
- Open the game, tap the ⋯ menu, and choose Export for Premiere (under "For editing on a computer").
- Pick the frame rate your camera shot at.
- Tap Export. ClipPin builds a zip holding one sequence per period plus the audio files.
- Share it to your computer — AirDrop is easiest.
You can also download the same bundle from getclippin.com if the game synced, so the phone doesn't have to be handed over.
In Premiere
- Import the XML file from the zip. Each period arrives as a sequence with your marks on the timeline.
- Bring in your camera footage.
- Select the ClipPin audio and your footage together and use Synchronize → Audio. The marks land on the right moments.
Sync is done through sound, never timecode, so the camera's clock doesn't have to match anything.
Frame rates
If you pick a drop-frame rate, ClipPin notes that it changes how Premiere displays timecode, not where the marks sit. Do one test import before relying on it for a real game.
Freeing up space afterward
Once you've saved the exported folder somewhere safe, Delete WAVs (Free Space) removes the raw audio from your device and keeps every mark and exported file.
You can still make clips afterwards. Your game keeps its marked plays and still offers to match the card footage — the footage was never on your device anyway, it's on the card. The one thing you lose is precision: ClipPin lines the camera up by listening for its sync chirp in that raw audio, so without it a later match uses a standard offset instead of a measured one. If you know you'll want to cut clips from this game on this device, match the footage before deleting the WAVs.
Just need the audio? Share Recordings, in the same ⋯ menu, AirDrops every period's audio file on its own.
