Full-game video is what fills a phone. A game runs to several gigabytes, and it stays on the device that filmed it.
First: save the game footage if you want to keep it
Open the game and look for the Game footage card. Until it says Saved to Photos, that recording exists only inside ClipPin — it isn't backed up anywhere, and it goes away if you delete the app.
Tap Save to Photos and each period is copied to your photo library as its own video. It stays in ClipPin too, so you can still make clips.
Then: free up the space
Once the footage is saved (or you're sure you don't want it), the same card offers Free up N GB.
This keeps every clip you saved and every marked play. It only removes the long original recording from ClipPin.
One thing it does cost: clips are cut from that recording, so once it's gone you can't make new clips from the game, and you can't re-edit or re-trim the clips you already made. They still play and share normally. If you might want to adjust a clip later, do it first.
Your game doesn't disappear. Open its Clips screen afterwards and every marked play is still listed — the clips you saved as normal, and the rest showing Original footage removed, so you can always see what you marked even when there's nothing left to cut.
Other space to reclaim
- Recently Deleted (Settings) holds deleted games for 30 days. Swipe left on anything you're sure about and choose Delete Now.
- Offline clips — if you copied clips for editing away from the card, remove them once you're done.
- Raw audio — after a Premiere export, Delete WAVs (Free Space) clears the audio and keeps all your marks.
- Photos — saved clips live in your photo library, so manage those in the Photos app like any other video.
Before the next game
Switch Settings → Phone Camera to 1080p instead of 4K. It uses about a third of the space and looks great. Choose 4K only when you know you'll want to zoom in while editing.
ClipPin warns you before recording if space is tight — if you see that in the parking lot, clearing one old game's video is usually enough.
