Use ClipPin Without an Account

The whole filming loop works signed out — here's what does and doesn't need an account.

ClipPin works without an account. Tap Continue without an account on the welcome screen and you have the full app.

Works with no account

  • Filming games, on your phone or with a camera
  • Marking plays and keeping score
  • Ending periods and games
  • Trimming clips and saving them to Photos
  • Your free week, once you start your first game
  • The postgame recap card
  • Buying a pass (that goes through your Apple Account)

Everything lives on your device, so it all works with no signal at all — which is the point, because tournament fields rarely have any.

Needs a free account

  • Follow links for family — we need to know whose games to show
  • Your games and clips on more than one device
  • Alerts about teams you follow
  • Saving a button set to reuse in future games

Why you keep seeing the welcome screen

Continuing without an account lasts for that session. Next time you fully close and reopen ClipPin, the welcome screen says hello again — it's one tap past, and it's there so signing in stays easy to find. It never blocks you, and it never means anything was lost.

Signing in later doesn't cost you anything

Games you filmed signed out aren't stranded. Sign in whenever you like and they upload to your account then — nothing to import or move by hand.
