Use ClipPin on More Than One Device

Sign in on your iPad and your games come with you — and what stays on the phone that filmed.

Sign in to the same account on each device and your season follows you.

  1. Install ClipPin on the other device.
  2. Sign in with the same account — Sign in with Apple or the same email.
  3. Give it a moment. Your games appear on their own.

What travels

Your games and series, scores, every marked play, and your clip library — with the pictures, so it looks right straight away.

What stays where it was filmed

The full-game video. A game is several gigabytes, so it stays on the device that recorded it rather than filling up the others.

Your clips do travel. After you save a clip, ClipPin uploads it over Wi-Fi so it plays on your other devices and on the web. That's on by default; the Upload clips to web switch in the menu on the Clips screen turns it off if you'd rather keep videos on one device.

Making clips happens where you filmed

Because the full-game video stays put, new clips get cut on the device that recorded the game. Open that game's Clips screen anywhere else and you'll see all your marked plays, with a note that it was filmed on another device — no prompt to go hunting for a file that isn't there.

Clips you've already saved play normally on every device, so an iPad is a fine place to watch and share them. To trim a new one, or re-edit an old one, pick up the device you filmed with.

Filmed an older game with a separate camera? That footage lives on the memory card, so you can import it on whichever device has the card reader.

Nothing appearing?

  • Both devices signed in to the same account?
  • Look for Not synced or Sync failed on the home screen — tap it to try again.
  • No signal at the field is fine. ClipPin catches up when you're back online.

One important warning

A device holds one account's games at a time. If you sign in with a different account, ClipPin tells you first and clears this device's games to make room. Read that screen before tapping through.
